“ If you’re looking for an informal afternoon spot with a fantastic view of the harbour, L’Albatros in Honfleur is absolutely perfect. My wife and I, both in our 30s and 40s and from the UK, loved how it captured the vibe of Honfleur—artsy, musical, and laid-back. The table service was excellent, and the waiting staff were effortlessly cool. It was the only place in Honfleur we found serving cocktails like Bloody Marys and Negronis. I personally enjoy a pastis on holiday, so we savoured some Calvados pastis alongside coffees. The clientele was mostly French, with the classic all-day chit-chat and chain-smoking outdoors adding to the authentic atmosphere. This is the ideal spot if you’ve been out for a walk, a hike, or a leisurely lunch and just want to relax for the afternoon. Cool tunes, great drinks, and genuinely nice people—it felt like home from home for us, especially as regulars of the Platform Tavern in Southampton, which has a similar ambience. Definitely one of the French bars we’ll return to on our next visit. Thanks for a great experience—hope to see you again! ”
“ Lovely view, tasty drinks... couldn't rate the food because kitchen was closed when we arrived so they didn't serve food at 4pm ”
“ One of the few places in Honfleur that opens early for breakfast. Fantastic eggs, bacon & croissants. Super nice staff and bar dog included. Loved it! ”
“ The ambiance at night is fantastic at the Albatros! They play all kind of hits from the late 1970s and early ’80s and the waiter didn't have the slightest objection when I sang along with my bluetooth Karaoké microphone… ”
“ We were on the hunt for an easy breakfast and this was it! Absolutely delicious croissants and great smoked salmon. The staff was lovely and speedy. Enjoyed! ”
